Sanchez Pleads Not Guilty to Murder

Larry Sanchez, the 58-year-old Bancroft man accused of killing his wife before holding police off during a four-hour standoff at his home, has pleaded not guilty.
Sanchez is being charged with first-degree intentional homicide, first-degree reckless homicide, homicide by intoxicated use of a weapon and failure to comply with an officer’s attempt to take him into custody.
Sanchez allegedly shot and killed his estranged wife, 47-year-old Lisa Sanchez, on June 3, and later admitted to the shooting during questioning. He later barricaded himself inside his home and kept law enforcement at bay for nearly four hours.
Sanchez returns to court on Dec. 21. His $1 million cash bond has been continued.
