Bernice C. Rainis
Bernice C. Rainis, 100 years and 11 months, Plover, died
Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015.
A memorial will be held in the spring in Chicago, Ill.
A memorial fund has been established at Associated Bank in
her name.
Mrs. Rainis was born in 1914 in Chicago, Ill., a daughter of
the late Clara and Casimer Jeselskis. She graduated from Englewood High School
in Chicago.
She was married to Frank Rainis May 5, 1934. He preceded her
in death.
She was an employee of Marshall Field’s Department Store in
Chicago for 25 years.
After her husband died, she moved to Plover to be near
family.
Survivors include two daughters, Delores (Val) Glytas,
Plover, and Cynthia Petraitis; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Robert Rainis;
and all the family members of her generation.
