Bernice A. Wierzba, 87 of Rosholt, died early Monday morning October 26, 2015 at Ministry-St. Michaels Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Bernice was born February 1, 1928 in the Town of Lanark. She was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Zylka) Klopotek. Bernice attended Valley View grade school and St. Mary’s of Mt. Carmel of Fancher School. Her marriage to Roman B. Wierzba took place on September 27, 1947 at St. Mary’s of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Fancher. Her husband preceded her in death on October 28, 2009. She was also preceded in death by her son Conrad.

Bernice enjoyed gardening, both flowers and vegetables and loved canning. She also enjoyed crocheting. Her most precious time was being with family as “mom made the best chicken soup”. In lieu of flowers a memorial in Bernice’s name will be established at a later date.

She is survived by her four children; Roman Jr. (Laurie) Wierzba of Ixonia, WI. Karen (Gary) Jastromski of Amherst, Bev (Jim) Krusick of Custer and Suzanne (Curt) Giese of Rosholt.  Ten grandchildren; Eric (Jenny) Wierzba and their children Caleb, Ian and Aaron. Jessica Wierzba (Tom Christian) and Emma and Eva, Aaron (Gabriella) Wierzba and Ayden and Avery, Tracy (John) O’Brien and their children Nicholas and Olivia, Troy (Anne) Jastromski and their children Tyler, Madison and Cody, Kimberly (Mark) Gliniecki and their children Justin and Isabelle, Corey (Amanda) Giese and their children Kelsea and McKenzie and Casey (Claire) Giese and their children Hannah and John.

Further survived by a brother in law Frank (Jeanette) Wierzba, of Rosholt, and two sister in laws Clara Kurzewski of Rosholt and Mary Ann Singer of Custer. Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, husband Roman and 5 brothers and 6 sisters.

Funeral Mass will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday, October 31, 2015 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Torun. Rev. Gregory Michaud officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s of Torun Parish Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 9:30 A.M. Saturday at St. Mary’s Church until the time for mass.
