Greg Blaskey Sr., 80, Custer, died Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2015,
at Aspirus Hospice House in Wausau.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday,
Oct. 27, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Polonia, with the Rev. Gregory
Michaud officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in the St. Mary’s
Cemetery in Custer.

Visitation will be at the Shuda Funeral Chapel – Stevens
Point from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26, with a Bible Vigil prayed at 6:30 p.m.,
and at the church from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the Mass.

A memorial will be established in his name at a later date.

Mr. Blaskey was born Aug. 18, 1935, in Stevens Point, a son
of the late Joseph and Constance (Kluck) Blaskey. He graduated from P.J. Jacobs
High School in 1954.

He entered the U.S. Army in 1958 and served in Alaska with
the Nike Missile Unit. He was honorably discharged in 1960 and returned to the
area.

He worked for F.F. Mengel Construction until 1984 when he
began his career with the town of Hull where he worked until retiring in 2000.

He was married to Paulette Stroik Oct. 21, 1978, at St. Mary
Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Custer.

After the marriage, the couple settled on his family’s farm
in Custer.

He collected antique farm machinery and was involved in
tractor shows.

Survivors include his wife, Paulette, Custer; three children,
Greg (Kari) Blaskey Jr, Custer, Nicholas (Katrina) Blaskey, Custer, and Kelly
(Chad) Radke, Wausau; one brother, Val (Jeanette) Blaskey; four sisters,
Beatrice Danielski and Theresa Steward, both of Stevens Point, Joan (John)
Raikowski, Rudolph, and Regina Ligman, Dixon, Ill.; and six grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by one infant son, Michael; three
sisters, Germaine Blaskey, Christine Zunker and Florence; and one brother Ray.
