James D. “Jim” Aron, 72, Wisconsin Rapids, a former owner of an Almond construction business, died at his home Sunday, Oct. 25, 2015.

Services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids, with the Rev. Ben Sheets officiating.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 p.m. Thursday until the services.

Mr. Aron was born Oct. 26, 1942, in Racine, a son of the
late Leo and Charlotte (Hilgers) Aron. He attended school in Wisconsin Rapids
until his senior year when he attended and graduated from Necedah High School
in 1961.

He was married to Sue Ayres Aug. 12, 1961. They later
divorced.

He was employed at several jobs in his
life, spending most of his time as a carpenter. He started his career at Frost
Construction in Plainfield and later opened his own construction business in
Almond. He finished his career working as a foreman carpenter for a local
union.

Survivors include three children, Nanette (Chad) VerHagen,
Necedah, Kathy (special friend Steve Conley), Newport, Ore., and James (Jodi)
Aron, Whitewater; one sister, Dallas (James) Duda, Iron River, Mich.; two brothers,
Gary (special friend Sue Burr) Aron, Mondovi, and Rick (Joan) Aron, Rogers, Ark.;
five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Jody; one
sister, Lillian Makela; and one brother, Norlan “Butch” Aron.
