Central Wisconsin Film Festival Kicks Off Nov. 5

The 2015 Central Wisconsin Film Festival (CW Film Festival) will be held Thursday, Nov. 5 – Friday, Nov. 13.
The 10th annual event includes four film sets – a collection of Wisconsin documentaries, regional and international shorts, a full-length foreign film and a beer documentary. Screenings will be held throughout Stevens Point, Plover, Amherst, Wausau and Marshfield.
“The festival is focused on creating opportunities for Central Wisconsin residents to engage in independent film,” said Greg Wright, CW Film Festival coordinator and executive director of Arts Alliance of Portage County. “We hope people attend because it is a great night of art and entertainment and because we strive to support Wisconsin filmmakers.”
Wright said the festival aims to bring visitors to the area, which will also help support local businesses, restaurants and hotels.
Tickets for individual screenings at the festival are $10 for adults and $5 for students. To attend unlimited screenings, weekend passes may be purchased for $15. Tickets will be available at the door. Proceeds will go to the venue hosts and Arts Alliance of Portage County.
