Portage County Sheriff Mike Lukas met with residents and visitors of Brookdale Senior Living in Stevens Point for his bi-monthly Coffee with a Cop program.
The event was designed so citizens could meet informally with the Portage County Sheriff’s Office in a relaxed atmosphere, ask questions and make suggestions.
“I was kind of skeptical about people walking in from the public but we’ve had people from Stevens Point come in and talk,” said Lukas. “A lot of the residents, families are coming in and talking to us.”
Coffee with a Cop events are arranged by request. The Portage County Sheriff’s Office will announce the next opening on their Facebook page.
