Kenneth J. Volk, 92, town of Belmont, a former town of
Belmont chairman, died Monday, Nov. 9, 2015, at his home.


A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 13,
at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church on Highway 54 between Waupaca and
Plover, with the Rev. Jim Trempe presiding. Burial will be at St. Patrick’s
Catholic Cemetery in the town of Lanark.


Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. Friday until
the Mass.


Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca assisted with arrangements.

Mr. Volk was born Aug. 18, 1923, in Iowa City, Iowa, a son
of the late William and Anna (Cox) Volk. During his younger years in Iowa, he
was a horse tamer where he worked with Belgium horses.


He was married to Rita O’Neil Oct. 3, 1944, in Morse, Iowa.
She died March 23, 1971.


They raised four children.


In 1958, they moved from Iowa to the town of Belmont.


He was married to Eleanor (Firkus) Literski June 23, 1979,
in Stevens Point. She died Aug. 24, 2014.


He served as chairman for the town of Belmont for many
years.


Survivors include four children, David (Linda) Volk,
Janesville, Diane (Robert) Manske-Hephner, Rockport, Texas, Debi (Paul) Smith,
Wild Rose, and Dorene (Del) Weed, Waupaca; four stepchildren, Rudy (Pat)
Literski and Donna Eberhardt, both of Plover, and Lucille (Larry) Moss and Tom
(Donna Mary) Literski, both of Custer; one brother, Maurice Eugene (Barbara)
Volk, Waupaca; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.


He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Harvey,
Edmund and George; three sisters, Genevieve, Mary Catherine and Camille; and
one infant granddaughter.
