Amanda Lou Schumitsch, 79, Marshfield, died Sunday, Nov. 15, 2015, at Miller Alternative Care in Marshfield.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, at St. Bronislava Catholic Church in Plover. Burial will be in Queen of Peace Cemetery in Antigo.

Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. Thursday until the Mass.

Memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association would be
appreciated.

Pisarski Community Funeral Home and Cremation Center in
Plover assisted with arrangements. Condolences may be offered online at www.pisarskifuneralhome.

Mrs. Schumitsch was born July 8, 1936, in Antigo, a daughter
of the late Leo and Amanda (Blake) Ottman.

She was married to Donald G. Schumitsch Sept. 28, 1957, at
St. John Catholic Church in Antigo. He died Nov. 25, 2011.

She was a housewife who bowled and spent time camping,
including many years of recreational vehicle travel with her husband to visit
friends and family across the country.

She was active at St. Bronislava Catholic Church in Plover
where she was a member of the choir and the Parish Council of Catholic Women.
She was also active as a member of the Women’s Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign
Wars Post 10262 in Plover.

Survivors include five children, Donna J. (Bill) Muth, Julie
A. (Brian) Inger, Michael D. (Patricia) Schumitsch, Laura L.

(Britt) Schumitsch-Jewell, and Donald E. Schumitsch; one brother, Otto Ottman;
14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Joseph Lee; four brothers,
Leo, George, Cletus and James Ottman; two sisters, Carla McFarland and Norma
Perkins; one grandson; and one great-granddaughter.
