UWSP Presents: The Roots of the Real Christmas Tree

The public is invited to learn about the natural history of the Christmas tree.
The presentation is being given by Neil Prendergast, from the history dept. of UWSP. In his talk, Prendergast will discuss the change in how Americans have viewed the Christmas tree, which was seen as a waste a century ago.
Prendergast will present reasons behind Americans’ changing ideas about nature and forests.
The presentation begins at 6:30 PM on Dec. 8 in the Portage Co. Library, 1001 Main Street. The public is welcome.
