Stella Irene Pommering, 90, Stevens Point, died Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015, at Point Manor Assisted Living in Stevens Point.

?Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 30, at Good Shepard Lutheran Church in Plover. Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery in Coloma.

Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. Monday until the services.

Pisarski Community Funeral Home of Plover assisted with
arrangements. Condolences may be offered online at www.pisarskifuneralhome.com.

Mrs. Pommering was born May 8, 1925, a daughter of the late
Win and Sylvia (Payne) Gerard. She attended grade and high schools in Coloma,
graduating May 8, 1942, on
her 17th birthday.

After graduation she worked in Beloit and Madison before returning
to her parents’ home in 1945.

She worked at Brakebush Brothers in Westfield until her
marriage.

She was married to Arnold Pommering May 10, 1947, at
Immanuel Lutheran Church Parsonage in Springfield. He died in 2003.

She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Plover.

Survivors include two children, Diane (Brian) Fitzpatrick,
Lakewood, and Dennis (Julie) Pommering, Germantown; one sister, Lelah Kapp,
Reedsburg; three grandsons; one stepgranddaughter; and three great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Carl Gerard.
