SPASH Basketball Bests East Troy 108-71

In a return to last season’s form, the SPASH Panthers varsity basketball team defeated the East Troy Trojans 108-71.
The Panthers took on the Trojans in non-conference play for their first game of the 2015-16 season on November 28. The win follows a 27-1 state-championship season and 67-51 win over the Germantown Warhawks for the state title.
Senior guard Trev Anderson led the Panthers with 32 points for the game, followed by sophomore forward Joey Hauser with 25 points and senior forward Sam Hauser with 22. Eleven panthers scored in Saturday’s game and Anderson and Sam Hauser both earned a double-double for their performance; Anderson had 10 assists and Hauser snatched 12 rebounds.
Lead scorers for the Trojans were senior Jacob Nixon with 26 points and Joseph Ciriacks with 21.
The Panthers return to the SPASH fieldhouse to take on the Appleton East Patriots in non-conference play on December 1 at 7:30 PM and travel to Milwaukee Riverside on December 5 to play the Tigers at 4:30 PM in the Terry Porter Classic.
