Linda S. Konkol

Linda S. Konkol, 66, Custer, died Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015, at her home after a battle with cancer.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 7, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Polonia, with the Rev. Gregory Michaud officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Pisarski Funeral Home in Stevens Point from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, and at the church from 10 a.m. Monday until the Mass. The Sacred Heart Rosary Society will lead the rosary at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Konkol was born June 19, 1949, in Stevens Point, a
daughter of the late Myron Sr. and Cecelia (Lebryk) Omernik. She was a 1967
graduate of P.J. Jacobs High School in Stevens Point and a 1969 graduate of the
Wisconsin College of Cosmetology at Green Bay.
She was married to Richard T. Konkol in 1971.
She owned and operated her own hair salon, Hairway 66, for
37 years.
In her earlier years, she spent time playing softball,
dancing, bowling and golfing.
She was a member of the Sacred Heart Rosary Society and
Sacred Heart Parish.
Survivors include her husband, Richard; four daughters,
Jennifer (Kelly) Esker, Rebecca Konkol-Kintop, Sarah (Chad) Calaway and Amy
(Tim) Leirness; four brothers, Myron (MaryAnn) Omernik Jr., Robert Omernik,
Gary (Ann) Omernik and Ronald Omernik; four sisters, Nancy (Paul) Domaszek,
Donna (Dennis) Greco, Joanne Omernik and Denise Omernik; and six grandchildren,
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Larry Omernik.
