Many people love – and hate — wildlife in their backyards. To learn more about attracting wildlife, and dealing with potential conflicts that may rise, join a free webinar Friday.

Scott Hygnstrom, the Douglas R. Stephens Endowed Chair in Wildlife at University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, will present, “Wildlife in the Backyard – a Double-edged Sword.” A UW Extension wildlife specialist, Hygnstrom will address problems including squirrels in bird feeders and attics, rabbits damaging gardens and flowerbeds, voles girdling trees and shrubs, moles tearing up turf and snakes in grass.

Human-wildlife coexistence is a program being developed at the Wisconsin Center for Wildlife, of which Hyngstrom is director in UW-Stevens Point’s College of Natural Resources.
