Lucille M. Poeschel, age 83, died peacefully on Sunday, November 29th, 2015, at Generations Assisted Living Center in Plover, WI.

Lucille was born on February 5th, 1932 in the community of Fancher in the Town of Stockton, Portage County, to the late Peter and Mary (Trzebiatowski) Printz. She graduated in 1949 from St. Joseph’s Academy in Stevens Point. She married her sweetheart, Willard Poeschel, on November 17th, 1956 at St. Mary of Mount Carmel Parish in Fancher. They began their married life in Milwaukee, WI, where Lucille was employed at Allen Bradley and later worked at family businesses and the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. She has lived in the Fancher area, Milwaukee, Cedarburg, Durand and has resided in the Stevens Point area since 1970.

Lucille had a great sense of humor and she enjoyed writing letters, sending cards, reading, listening and dancing to polka music, taking trips and spending time with family and friends.

She was a loving wife and mother and is survived by her husband, Willard, and their children Judy (Bruce) Pickett, Joe (Michelle) Poeschel, and Mary (Mark) Wysocki, all of Stevens Point. Lucille loved spending time with and is also survived by her 8 grandchildren Bradley Dorshorst, Tanner and Corey Pickett, Andrew (fiancé Nikki), Christopher and Michael Poeschel, Nick and Megan Wysocki. She is further survived by her sister, Gail Berner of Sauk Village, IL, and nieces Candy, Cindy and Denise.  

Lucille was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Delores, who passed away in infancy.

A Funeral Mass for Lucille will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stevens Point on Thursday, December 3rd, 2015 at 10:30am.  Visitation will take place Wednesday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Pisarski Funeral Home at 703 Second St. in Stevens Point with a rosary prayed at 7:00 pm. Visitation also preceding the mass at 9:30am Thursday morning in the St. Joseph’s Parish Center. Burial to follow Mass in the St. Joseph Parish Cemetery. Lucille’s family would like to express heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the staff at Generations Assisted Living and to Ministry Home Care Hospice for the compassionate care they offered Lucille.
