Virginia M. Perzynski

Virginia M. Perzynski, 84, Stevens Point, died Friday, Dec. 4, 2015, at Maple Ridge Plover Memory Care.

A funeral service will be held at noon Thursday, Dec. 10, at Boston Funeral Home, with the Rev. Nathan Schroeder officiating. Burial will be in St. Stephen’s Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. Thursday until the service.

A memorial will be established in her name at a later date.

Mrs. Perzynski was born May 11, 1931, in Wessington, S.D., a
daughter of the late Frank and Laura (Carrington) Daugherty. She attended local
schools and graduated from Wessington High School in 1949.

She went on to take modeling courses and worked for Tony
Lane Photography Studio in Minneapolis, Minn., and took further coursework in fine
arts at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

She was married to Clifford H. Perzynski Sept. 5, 1954, in
Minneapolis Minn. He died Sept. 25, 2002.

Throughout her life she wrote poetry and published several
poems in Wisconsin Poets Calendar and illustrations for a children’s book.

She was active in the local Art League, National Audubon
Society and was a leader for the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of America.

Survivors include three sons, Daniel Perzynski, Amherst,
Robert Perzynski, Waupaca, and Patrick Perzynski, Stevens Point; five daughters,
Laurie (Mark) Shudarek, Custer, Lonie (W. Brent) Teachout, Piedmont, S.D., Lisa
(Danny Roberts) Perzynski, Nicholasville, Ky., Julie (Tony) Shedden, Sheridan,
Wyo., and Aimee Perzynski, Plover; 11 grandchildren; and six
great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one granddaughter.
