Virginia M. Perzynski, age 84, of Stevens Point, passed away December 4, 2015 at Maple Ridge Plover Memory Care.

Virginia was born May 11, 1931 to the late Frank & Laura (Carrington) Daugherty in Wessington, SD. She attended the local schools and graduated from Wessington High School in 1949. She went on to take modeling courses and worked for Tony Lane Photography Studio in Minneapolis, MN and further coursework in Fine Arts at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point.  

Virginia married Clifford H. Perzynski on September 5, 1954 in Minneapolis MN. Clifford preceded her in death on September 25, 2002.

Virginia will be remembered for her dedication to her family and raising 8 children in Stevens Point, WI.  She had a love and compassion for people, nature and animals. In her free time, she enjoyed painting, reading, singing, walking in the parks, and spending time with her family and friends. Throughout her life with her love for writing poetry, she published several poems in Wisconsin Poets Calendar and illustrations for a children’s book. Virginia was active in the local Art League, National Audubon Society, and was a leader for the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of America.

She is survived by her 3 sons, Daniel Perzynski of Amherst, Robert Perzynski of Waupaca, and Patrick Perzynski of Stevens Point; 5 daughters, Laurie (Mark) Shudarek of Custer, Lonie (W. Brent) Teachout of Piedmont SD, Lisa (Danny Roberts) Perzynski of Nicholasville, KY, Julie (Tony) Shedden of Sheridan, WY, and Aimee Perzynski of Plover. She is further survived by grandchildren, Jill, Jacob, Jessica, Liberty, Sarah, Nicole, Christopher, Sam, Zachary, Christine, & Brandon; and 6 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank & Laura Daugherty; husband, Clifford; and granddaughter, Jennifer Sargenti (Shudarek).

A Funeral Service will be held 12 Noon on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Boston Funeral Home with Rev. Nathan Schroeder officiating. A visitation will precede the service on Thursday from 10:00 am – 12 Noon at the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Stephen’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in her name at a later date. Online condolences may be made at www.bostonfuneralhome.net.
