SPASH Wrestlers Drop Wausau West

The Stevens Point Area Senior High School wrestling team dropped a 43-30 decision to Wausau West at the SPASH Fieldhouse on Dec. 10.
West jumped out to an quick 12-0 lead with two pins and went on to win eight matches on the evening. SPASH junior Logan Reed (152) posted the only pin by the Panthers over Alexander Hein in a time of 3:17.
Sophomore Nick Wachowiak (170) picked up a 7-3 win and junior Jacob Erdmann defeated Austin Winter at the heavyweight level.
Forfeit wins were awarded to Senior Fritz Schierl and Juniors Brady and Dylan Koontz. The Panthers return to Wisconsin Valley Conference action traveling to Marshfield on Dec. 17 for a 7 PM match.
