Beatrice Marquard, 91, Plover, died Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2015.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 21, at the Shuda Funeral Chapel in Stevens Point. Burial will be in Restlawn Cemetery in Wisconsin Rapids.

Visitation will be at the funeral chapel from 10 a.m. Monday until the service.

Mrs.
Marquard was born Nov. 17, 1921, one of 10 children of the late Thomas and Mary
(Petrick) Borchardt.

She spent
21 years working at St. Michael’s Hospital in the nursery.

After her
retirement, she took trips to Hawaii, Mexico, Las Vegas, Arizona and other
places.

She was a
member of the Moose Club and the American Legion Auxiliary.

She was
also an avid tailor, making most of her own clothing and clothing for others.

She was
married to Hilmer Cote Aug. 12, 1939. He died serving in the armed forces
during World War II in June 1945, leaving her a widow with four children.

She was
then married to Orville Clendenning in 1947. They later divorced.

They had
two children.

She was
married to Pat Marquard in 1966. He died in 1975.

Survivors
include four children, Janice (William) Newby, Donald (Connie) Cote, Eugene
(Carolee) Cote and Betty (Clark) Pallen; two sisters; Gloria Klopatek and
Rosalie Ostrander; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 14
great-great-grandchildren; her special grandchild (caregiver), Louise.

She was also
preceded in death by two children, James Cote and Dianne Clendenning; three
sisters, Grace, Alice and Teresa; four brothers, Lawrence, Robert, Raymond and
Clarence; and two grandchildren.
