Stanley A. Hahn, 88, a Plover native, died Tuesday, Dec. 15,
2015, at the Veterans Administration (VA)
Community Living
Center in Marion, Ill.


There will be no services at this time. Interment will be held
at a later date.


Contributions may be made to any local Veterans of Foreign
Wars, American Legion Post or a veterans-associated charity of choice.


Mr. Hahn was born April 24, 1927, in Plover, the youngest child
of the late Joseph and Mary Hahn. He attended local schools and worked on the
family farm.


He joined the U.S. Army in September 1945. He spent most of
his enlistment in Germany.


He was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and spent more than
six years in rehabilitation at the Wood VA Hospital in Milwaukee.


He was married to Mary Cordy Feb. 25, 1956. The couple were
married for 59 years and 10 months.


He was an avid outdoorsman and traveled with his wife until
they relocated to Marion, Ill., later in life.


He was also a member of the St. Bronislava Parish in Plover
and St. Joseph Parish in Marion.


Survivors include his wife, Mary; one daughter, Debbie
(Martin) Kilmurray, Plover; two sons, Tom and Mark, both of Marion, Ill.; and
two granddaughters, Valerie Hahn, Atlanta, Ga., and Ashley Hahn, Herrin, Ill.


He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Frank,
Walter and Henry Hahn; and three sisters, Sophie Bluma, Florence Steckel and
Frances Hahn.
