Historical Society Loses Longtime Volunteer

Mark Seiler, vice president of the Portage Co. Historical Society and curator at the Temple Beth Israel Museum, passed away on Monday.
“Goodbye, good friend,” read a post on the PCHS Facebook page. “We are so much more for having known you and so much less without you now.”
“His work ethic, sense of humor, variety of interests, caring self…devotion to the Temple Beth Israel Museum, to his family, to the university, to every part of his community…there is so much to remember happily and now wistfully,” the post reads. “We are missing you already.”
Funeral arrangement are pending at Boston Funeral Home in Stevens Point. Seiler was 73 years old.
