Raymond E. Phillippi

Raymond E. Phillippi, 84, Pittsville, father of a Stevens Point man, died Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2015, at Ministry St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, at Crossroads Evangelical Free Church in Pittsville, with the Rev. David Bratlie and the Rev. Bruce Naugle officiating. Military rites will be conducted following the service at the church by the American Legion Post 153 of Pittsville.
Visitation will be at the Buchanan Funeral Home in Pittsville from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 21.

Mr. Phillippi was born April 12, 1931, in Pittsville, a son
of the late Henry and Caroline (Kienzle) Phillippi.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was
honorably discharged.
He was a member of American Legion Post 153.
He was married to Carol Schilter June 16, 1962, in
Pittsville.
He worked for Consolidated Papers, retiring after 42 years
of service.
He traveled to Washington, D.C., on the Honor Flight.
He was active in the Crossroads Evangelical Free church,
serving on the board.
Survivors include his wife, Carol; two sons, Mark (Jacki
Stroik) Phillippi, Stevens Point, and Patrick (Annie) Phillippi, Milwaukee; one
daughter, Kathryn Rae (Gary) Immel, Appleton; one brother, Robert (Donna)
Phillippi; seven grandchildren; and five great –grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by five brothers, Walter,
Hank, Carl, Donald and Empton; and four sisters, Ethel, Elsie, Kay and Carol.
