SPASH Boys Swimming Laps D.C. Everest

The SPASH Panther varsity boys swam past the D.C. Everest Evergreens with a final score of 99-61 at their home meet on Dec. 17.

The Panthers are now 3-0 in Wisconsin Valley Conference dual swim meets while D.C. Everest falls to 0-4. Prior to Thursday’s meet, the Panthers out-swam the Marshfield Tigers in their pool on December 7, scoring 96-74.

SPASH took first place in all but two events of the evening: the 100-yard breaststroke and the 400-yard freestyle relay.

SPASH finished the first event of the night, the 200-yard medley relay, in 1:53:55. Swimming in the relay were freshman Chad Franz, senior Jared Larson, freshman Jared Kort and junior Aaron Kane swam anchor. Franz also took first place in the 100-yard backstroke with a time 1:00:21.

The Panthers took first in the 200-yard freestyle with junior Zach Dahlseng swimming with a time of 1:53:67.

SPASH swim captain Ben Harris finished first in the 50-yard freestyle at 22:66 and the 100-yard butterfly at 56:34. Junior Aaron Kane took first in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 58:73 and Dahlseng topped the 500-yard freestyle at 5:10:86.

The 200-yard freestyle relay was swam by Dahlseng, Larson, junior Hunter Shulfer and Harris who finished first with a time of 1:35:72.

The Panther swimmers next travel to Eau Claire North High School on Dec. 19 to swim in the Santa Clause Invitational meet at 12:30 PM.

The annual alumni meet is set for Dec. 26 at 5:30 PM at SPASH.
