Ruban Rupp

Ruban Rupp, 85, Stevens Point, died Saturday, Dec. 19, 2015. He has been living at Aurora Family Home in Stevens Point the past three years.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, at the Shuda Funeral Chapel in Stevens Point, with the Rev. Thomas Petersen officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the funeral chapel from 9 a.m. Tuesday until the services.
A memorial will be established to Community Friends.

Mr. Rupp was born Aug. 12, 1930, in New London, a son of the
late Fred and Nellie (Ball) Rupp, the youngest of six children. From age 3
until his mid-40s, he resided at Northern Colonies.
In the early 1970s he moved to Stevens Point and into River
Pines, where he met his best friend David. In 1975 he moved in with George and
Bonnie Degroot, who became his family. They lived in Almond and Stevens Point,
while Ruban worked for Community Industries.
His favorite jobs were his last two, at St. Michael’s
Hospital and the Achievement Center.
He belonged to St. Paul Lutheran Church and was a lifelong
member of Community Friends.
He leaves behind no known family.
