Michael Jon Kaufmann, age 62, of North Canton, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2015 in Mercy Medical Center.

He was born October 2, 1953 in Wausau, Wisconsin to Alois J. and Helen M. (Krubsack) Kaufmann and was raised in Birnamwood, Wisconsin. Michael worked for Case Construction Corporation for 42 years and was currently a Product Specialist.

He loved corvettes and bow hunting.  He was a member of Buckeye Corvette Club, official measurer for both Pope & Young and Boone & Crockett, past member of Birnamwood Bow Hunters, and lifetime member of Wisconsin Bow Hunters.

He is survived by his wife, Priscilla whom he married on May 19, 1984; daughters and a son-in-law, Alison Kaufmann and Brian Rice of Richmond Virginia, Charlotte Kaufmann of Richmond; sisters and brothers-in-law, Karen & Emery Blaskowsky of Stevens Point, Wisconsin, Gwen & Dave McDonald of Wausau, Wisconsin; brother and sister-in-law, Stef & Chris Kaufmann of Birnamwood, Wisconsin; nieces, nephews and other family.

A brief memorial service will be held Tuesday December 22, 2015 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Birnamwood, Wisconsin with Rev. Matthew Christians officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Pediatric Cancer Department of Akron Children’s Hospital, One Perkins Square, Akron, OH 44308-1062 or a charity of the donor’s choice.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of TriCounty Hematology for his excellent care and for the kindness and compassion of the Arnold Funeral Service who assisted the family with final arrangements.
