Laurel E. Anderson
Laurel Elenor Anderson, 97, Waupaca, formerly of
Nelsonville, died Sunday, Dec. 27, 2015, at Bethany Home in Waupaca.
A funeral service was scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec.
31, at Nelsonville Lutheran Church in Nelsonville, with the Rev. Dwight
Anderson officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. Thursday until
the service.

Mrs. Anderson was born March 9, 1918, in the town of New
Hope in Portage County, a daughter of the late Tena (Melum) and Fred Henke.
She was married to Herbert Anderson Aug. 28, 1941, at the
North New Hope Lutheran Parsonage. He died March 12, 2015.
She was a homemaker known for her baking, gardening,
flowers, sewing and embroidery. In the winter time; she cross country skied
with the Nelsonville ski group.
She was a member of Nelsonville Lutheran Church. She was also
involved with the Ladies Aid, PTA, Nelsonville Women’s Club and Nelsonville
Zippy Zees 4-H Club.
Survivors include one son, David (Sandra) Anderson,
Nelsonville; two daughters, Gayle (Al) Trzebiatowski, Iola, and Jane (Gerald)
Bohm, Amherst; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death five brothers, Carroll,
Eugene, Willard, Julian and Roger Henke; and one sister, Irene Segafredo.
