Local Businesses Shine Spotlight on Charity

Three local businesses have made donations of $1,000 or more to The Salvation Army of Portage County.

Ministry Health Care and Community First Bank have both made presentations of $1,000 to the organization, which benefits the Hope Center shelter, 1600 Briggs St., and Operation Bootstrap.
Both charities benefit those less fortunate in the area, to include offering temporary housing, emergency food and other assistance.
Thrivent Financial Foundation, 3233 Business Park Dr., also made a donation of $1,027.22.
