SPASH Basketball Tops Sauk Prairie

The SPASH Panthers varsity boys basketball team remain undefeated after an unusually close 61-52 win over the Sauk Prairie Eagles in the first game of the Sentry Classic at UW-Stevens Point on Dec. 27.
SPASH entered the game following a 99-69 road win over the De Pere Redbirds on December 18. SPASH’s overall record now stands at an overall 7-0 and 2-0 in Wisconsin Valley Conference play.
SPASH came out ahead in the first half of the game, finishing at 31-21 before evenly scoring through the second half with the Eagles for the 61-52 victory.
Leading the Panthers in scoring was senior guard Trevor Anderson with 22 points and five assists. Sophomore forward Joey Hauser added 19 points and senior small forward Sam Hauser shot for 13 points. Both Hausers also took down seven rebounds.
Lead scorers for the Eagles were senior guard Seth Kostroski with 12 points, senior forward Brandon Spray with 11 points and senior guard Brendan Ballweg with 10 points.
The Panthers continue in the Sentry Classic when they play the Muskego Warriors on December 28 at 7:00 PM. They then hit the road to Concordia University on Dec. 30 to take on the Germantown Warhawks at 7:30 PM in the WBY Shootout.
