Jean M. Herrmann, 85, Madison, a former Stevens Point
resident, died unexpectedly Thursday, Dec. 31, 2015, at St. Mary’s Hospital in
Madison.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9,
at Cress Funeral Home in Madison.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 1 p.m. Saturday until
the service.

Mrs. Herrmann was born Jan. 4, 1930, in Ashland, a daughter
of the late Grace and Roy Robertson.

She was married to Donald Herrmann June 10, 1953.

After graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens
Point, she started a teaching career of 31 years as a kindergarten teacher. She
was also active in the Wisconsin Education Association Council.

Her hobbies included art, bridge and gourmet cooking.

Survivors include her husband, Madison; three children,
Scott (Mary) Herrmann, Sherri (Len) Pilon and Susan (Scott) Mindock; six grandchildren,
Jessica (Mike Holden) and Zachary Herrmann, Matthew and Mitchell Pilon, Abigail
and Max Mindock; and two great-grandchildren.
