A Plover woman faces multiple felony charges after allegedly selling prescription narcotics.

Jill Birchenall, 37, is charged with three counts of felony delivering a schedule I or II narcotic, an offense which carries a maximum sentence of up to 15 years imprisonment, or a $50,000 fine or both each.

She is also charged with delivering a schedule I or II non-narcotic which has a maximum sentence of up to six year imprisonment, or a $10,000 fine or both.

Because each offense took place within 1,000 feet of a public school, 100 hours of community service shall also be imposed on the defendant.

Birchenall made her initial appearance in Portage Co. Circuit Court on December 28.

According to court documents, on four separate occasions from March to June 2015, Birchenall sold the narcotic prescription drugs to a detective in a series of controlled buys.

On March 24, a detective met Birchenall on the 3400 block of Mission Lane and exchanged $100 for 14 pills of Percocet, a narcotic painkiller. The location of the exchange was 803 feet from St. Bronislava’s School. Another $100 Percocet purchase was made on March 27, and another on April 9, according to the complaint.

During a final exchange on June 9, the defendant sold a bottle of Vyvanse, a schedule II non-narcotic stimulant, for $150 from the detective. The drugs were in a prescription bottle labeled with the name of Birchenall’s family member.

After the final exchange, detectives visited Birchenall in her home and explained the investigation and the charges against her. She told the detectives that she did not usually sell pills, and was not immediately taken into custody. She was later served with a summons to appear in court on the charges.

She is currently free on a $5,000 signature bond and returns to court on Jan. 11 for a preliminary hearing.
