Virginia M. Turba

Virginia M. Turba, 91, Wisconsin Rapids, mother of a Plover woman, died Thursday, Dec. 31, 2015, at Aspirus Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5, at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids, with the Rev. Mark Miller officiating. Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Eau Claire.

Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. Tuesday until the Mass.

Memorials may be designated to Our Lady Queen of Heaven
Catholic Church or the Family Center Inc. in Wisconsin Rapids.

Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids assisted with
arrangements. Condolences may be offered online at www.ritchayfuneralhome.com.

Mrs. Turba was born Feb. 29, 1924, in Rib Lake, a daughter
of the late Albert and Emily (Pederson) Goodman.

She was married to Lawrence Turba April 27, 1946, in
Altoona. He died March 3, 1976.

She was employed as a retail clerk at the Gift Tree in Wisconsin
Rapids for 20 years.

Survivors include five children, John (Kathy) Turba, Turtle
Lake, Patricia Luedtke, Slinger, Larry (Nancy) Turba, Wisconsin Rapids, Kathy
(Randy) Stanke, Hudson, and Jan Piltz, Plover; 12 grandchildren; and 13
great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Dick Turba; one
brother,
Leonard (Mavis) Goodman; and one
great-granddaughter.
