Evelyn Trzebiatowski, 92, Pike Lake, a Shantytown area native, died Friday, Jan. 1, 2016. She had been a resident of the Portage County Health Care Center in Stevens Point.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5, at St. Florian Catholic Church in Hatley, with the Rev. Greg Bohren officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. Tuesday until the Mass.

Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home in Birnamwood assisted
with arrangements. Condolences may be offered online at www.schmidtschulta.com.

Mrs. Trzebiatowski was born Feb. 16, 1923, in the Shantytown
area, a daughter of the late Nick and Martha (Schulist) Kulas.

She was married to Henry “Hank” Trzebiatowski May 2, 1942,
in Polonia. He died May 8, 2000.

She worked at Marathon Electric for a number of years before
she and her husband acquired the Pike Lake Resort, owning and operating it in
partnership with her sister and brother-in-law, Irene and Bill Basil.

For many decades, she was a member of St. Florian Parish in
Hatley, where she served as a Eucharistic distributor, member of the senior
choir and fifty-plus-year member of the Rosary Society.

Survivors include one daughter-in-law, Jean Trzebiatowski,
Birnamwood; five grandchildren, Lance (Wendy) Trzebiatowski, Stevens Point,
Heidi (Bruce) Johnson, Wausau, Mary (Ben) Solheim, Weston, Wendy (Jesse)
Trzebiatowski-Miller, Green Bay, and Shawn Trzebiatowski, Birnamwood; and two
great-grandchildren, Jocelyn and Evan Trzebiatowski, Stevens Point.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Ronald “Truck”
Trzebiatowski; another son in infancy; four brothers, Leonard, Edward, Barney
and Joseph Kulas; and six sisters, Helen, Kathleen, Estelle, Emily, Harriet and
Irene.
