Lorraine Falkavage, 77, Stevens Point, died Friday, Jan. 1, 2016, at her home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, at St. Stanislaus Church of Holy Spirit Parish in Stevens Point, with the Rev. Marcin Mankowski officiating. Burial will be at St. Stephen’s Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Shuda Funeral Chapel – Stevens Point from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5, with a ritual for the Women of the Moose, of which she was a member, at 6:30 p.m. and rosary by the Holy Spirit Rosary Society at 7 p.m. and at the church from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday.

Mrs. Falkavage was born Nov. 26, 1938, in Polonia, a
daughter of the late Chester and Lucille (Kirschling) Netzel. She graduated
from Maria High School in 1957.

She moved to Chicago, Ill., and worked for a couple of years
before returning to the Stevens Point area.

She was married to James L. Falkavage June 17, 1961, at St.
Stanislaus Catholic Church. He died July 15, 2002.

The couple settled in Stevens Point and raised their
children.

She began working as a floral designer, first at Leo Zinda
Floral, then Ron LaComb Floral and finally at The Four Season’s Square with Bob
Mitchell. She opened the Bridal Square in 1983 and operated the business until
1995.

She then worked at Econo Foods and Copps before operating
the deli department at People’s Meat Market from 2000 until her retirement in November.

She was a member of the Women of the Moose and the Holy
Spirit Rosary Society.

Survivors include two children, Lee (Debra) Falkavage and
Julie (JR) Losinski; one brother, Robert (Cora) Netzel; four grandchildren,
Amanda, Ryan, Brittney and Theodore; and two great-grandchildren.
