Frances S. Knuese

Frances S. Knuese, 97, Mosinee, died Sunday, Jan. 3, 2016, at Atrium Post Acute Care Nursing Home in Stevens Point.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Stevens Point, with the Rev. Arul Joseph V. officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee.
Visitation will be at the Pisarski Funeral Home in Stevens Point from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, with a rosary prayed at 6 p.m., and in the St. Faustina Room of the church from 9:30 a.m. Thursday until the Mass.
Memorials in her name will be established at a later date.

Mrs. Knuese was born Sept. 16, 1918, in Milwaukee, a daughter
of the late Frank and Elizabeth Stanley. She attended schools in Milwaukee.
She was married to Carl L. Knuese in Milwaukee. He died in
1949 of a service-related issue.
After the marriage the couple settled in Milwaukee.
She worked for the Veterans Administration at Wood in
Milwaukee. She moved to Maryland where she also worked for the Veterans
Administration in Washington, D.C.
After retirement she moved to Stevens Point to be closer to
her family.
Survivors include one son, Carl Knuese, Mosinee; six grandchildren,
Kevin, Barbara, Dan, Mike, Steve and Debbie; and several great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Winifred;
one brother; and one sister.
