Registration for the 2016 Point Bock Run closed on New Year’s Day in two hours and 15 minutes.
That’s record time for the race’s limit of 2,000 participants, according to the Point Bock Run Facebook page. Last year’s registration filled up in about three hours.
The race will be held Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Stevens Point Brewery, 2617 Water Street. The Point Bock Run is a five-mile road race that is always held on the first Saturday in March.
The race route will start and finish in front of the brewery, and runs parallel to the Wisconsin River twice.
The goal of the race is to promote and support the sport of running and healthy lifestyles in Central Wisconsin.
