Ruth M. Pomerenke

Ruth Marie Pomerenke, 89, Neenah, an Amherst native and
mother of a Stevens Point woman, died Sunday, Jan. 3, 2016, at Theda Clark
Medical Center in Neenah.


A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 9,
at Trinity Lutheran Church in Menasha, with the Rev. Steven Billings
officiating. Entombment will take place inside Highland Memorial Park in
Appleton.


Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. Saturday until
the service.


A memorial will be established.


Wichmann Funeral Home Laemmrich Chapel in Menasha assisted
with arrangements. Condolences may be offered online at www.wichmannfargo.com.


Mrs. Pomerenke was born Oct. 4, 1926, in Amherst, a daughter
of the late Adolph and Ida (Lindquist) Price.


She was married to Norbert W. Pomerenke July 18, 1953, in
Amherst.


Together they had six children, and she became a stay at
home mother and homemaker.


She was a talented pianist and involved in gardening, knitting,
needlepoint and cooking.


She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Menasha and a
member of the Ladies Aid, as well as other programs such as Cradle Roll.


Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Norbert; their
children, Susan (David) Acaley of Stevens Point, Marian (William) Fenlon, David
(Ella) Pomerenke, Doug (Mary Ellen) Pomerenke, Janine (James) Heid and Ronald
Pomerenke; 14 grandchildren, including Michelle (Brody) Rice, Therese (Pavel)
Tishakov and BJ (Michelle) Acaley; and six great-grandchildren.


She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond Price,
Le Roy Price and Phillip Price; and one grandson, Mark Acaley.
