Cecilia M. Stauss, age 91 of Stevens Point, died Thursday December 31, 2015 at Ministry St. Joseph Hospital in Marshfield.  

She was born November 3, 1924 in Stevens Point. She is the daughter of the late Thomas & Mary (Pehoski) Mahinski. She graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School and received a certificate for perfect attendance for all 4 years. Her marriage to James Stauss took place on June 12, 1948 at St. Peter Catholic Church. James died March 3, 1973.  

Cecilia was employed at Sentry Insurance until her retirement in 1985. She was a member of the St. Peter Rosary Society rose #19. She enjoyed knitting, traveling to see friends and playing bridge and volunteering at the Lincoln Center.

Survivors include one daughter Kathleen (Arnold) Mancl of Milladore and one grandson Brian Mancl. She is preceded in death by her husband James, son Tom and Brother Albert.

Funeral Mass 10:30 AM Wednesday Jan. 6, 2016 at St. Peter Catholic Church, Rev. Arul Joseph V. will officiate. Burial in the Guardian Angel cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the time of services Wednesday morning in the St. Faustina room at St. Peter Church.

St. Peter Rosary Society will pray a rosary at 9:45 AM Wed. morning. Pisarski Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family.  

Memorials in her name to St. Peter Parish would be appreciated.
