Frances T. Slusarski, 81, Stevens Point, died Monday, Jan. 4, 2016, at Point Manor in Whiting, where she had resided the past two months.

Visitation will be at the Shuda Funeral Chapel – Stevens Point from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 7. Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Stevens Point.

Mrs. Slusarski was born Jan. 29, 1934, in Stevens Point, a
daughter of the late Nick and Julia (Firkus) Yach. She graduated from P.J.
Jacobs High School in 1951.

After graduation she worked for Atwell & Atwell for a
couple of years.

She was married to Ernest J. Slusarski April 19, 1954, at
St. Stanislaus Church in Stevens Point. He died in 1989.

The couple settled in Stevens Point and raised their family.

She began working at The Laundry and later at County Market
until her retirement.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the St.
Anne’s Society and the resurrection choir.

Her hobbies included dancing, polka and country music, word
puzzles, walking, gardening and taking short bus trips.

Survivors include two daughters, Marilyn (Mitch) Stashek and
Jennifer (Steve) Lawrence; one son, Kenneth (Ann) Slusarski; two sisters, Elsie
(John) Hudy and Marie (Jim) Garbrecht; one brother, Lawrence Yach; seven
grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Clara Hintz
and Grace Basinski; and one brother, Steve Yach.
