Roy G. Amundson, 72, Stevens Point, died Monday, Jan. 4, 2016, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Burial will be at New Rome Cemetery in Nekoosa.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. Thursday until the services.

Mr. Amundson was born Dec. 9, 1943, in Nekoosa, a son of the
late Albert and Bessie (Burrows) Amundson.

He was employed at ODC in Wisconsin Rapids before moving to
Stevens Point where he worked assembling pallets at Community Industries
Corporation.

His hobbies include fishing, including Thursday fishing
trips, and traveling.

Survivors include one brother-in-law, Joe Van Ert, Tomahawk;
special friend and caregiver Korrine (David) Loehrke, Stevens Point; and many
nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by three brothers, John, Larry
and Bruce Amundson; and two sisters, Alberta Van Ert and Arlys Anderson.
