Curtis E. Roe, 95, Waupaca, a town of New Hope native, died
Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016, at Bethany Home in Waupaca.


A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 16,
at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, 10388 State Highway 161, town of New Hope, with
the Rev. Greg Haugen officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.


Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. Saturday until
the service.


A memorial fund has been established in his name.


Voie Funeral Home in Iola assisted with arrangements.
Condolences may be offered online at www.voiefuneralhome.com.


Mr. Roe was born July 6, 1920, in the town of New Hope, a
son of the late Olive (Olson) and Jonas Roe.


He was married to Eileen Fletcher Dec.
15, 1945, at the United Methodist Church in the town of Buena Vista.


He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.


He worked as a finish carpenter all his life. He built his
house in the town of New Hope from the wood on the family property.


His hobbies included camping, fishing and gardening.


Survivors include his wife, Eileen Roe; one daughter, Kay
(Gary) Vedder, Frederic, Mich.; one son, Jerome (Jane) Roe, Sun City West, Ariz.;
five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.


He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Helen
Pillsbury and Elsa Peterson.
