A former doctor at Plover Family Practice has been charged with multiple counts of sexual assault.
According to a press release from the Plover Police Dept., an eight-month investigation into Dr. Wilton C. Calderon, currently living in Old Lyme, Conn., has resulted in four counts of third-degree sexual assault and six counts of fourth-degree sexual assault.
Police documents indicate Calderon, 45, while practicing family medicine as an employee at the Plover clinic, had unwanted sexual contact with “several” female patients, also allegedly exchanging opiate medication in exchange for sexual contact from one of the patients.
Police were notified by an anonymous tipster.
The investigation was held jointly with the United States Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA). Calderon is scheduled to appear in Portage Co. Court on Jan. 25 for his initial appearance.
Plover Police are requesting that anyone with additional information contact Plover Police Department Detective Brian Noel at (715) 345-5255 ext. 189.
