Verona H. Trzinski

Verona H. Trzinski, 97, Stevens Point, died Sunday, Jan. 10, 2016, at the Portage County Health Care Center in Stevens Point. She had been a resident there for the past seven years.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13, at St. Peter Catholic Church, with the Rev. Arul Joseph V. officiating. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
Visitation will be in the St. Faustina Room of the church from 9 a.m. Wednesday until the Mass. St. Peter’s Rosary Society will pray a rosary at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday.

Mrs. Trzinski was born March 2, 1918, in Stevens Point, a
daughter of the late Theodore and Helen (Ceplina) Lukasavage. She attended
schools in Stevens Point.
She was married to Joseph Trzinski June 29, 1936, at St.
Peter Catholic Church in Stevens Point. He died June 18, 1986.
She was married to Louis Strzyzewski in October 1993. He
died May 16, 1997.
After staying at home with the children until school age, she
worked at Campbells, later McCains department store for more than 20 years in
the lingerie department as head of the department and slim wear buyer.
She was a member of the St. Peter’s Rosary Society Rose 13.
Her hobbies included playing cards, baking, cooking,
puzzles, traveling and crocheting.
Survivors include three sons, David (Carol), Amherst
Junction, and Dennis and Donald (Joan), both of Stevens Point; one son-in-law,
Robert Zdroik, Stevens Point; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and eight
great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Judith Ann;
six brothers, Peter, Stanley, Johnny, Nick, Casimer and Joe Lukasavage; and six sisters, Alvina, Anna, Gertrude, Fran, Tillie and
Catherine.
