Private Pesticide Applicator Training Classes Offered

Private Pesticide Applicator Training classes will be offered by Portage County UW-Extension on Feb. 5 and March 4.
Pre-registration is required.
The class is intended for anyone who intends to purchase, mix, load, apply or direct the use of restricted use pesticides as a private applicator, a position which must be certified under state law. The certification is good for five years.

Students also have the option to study on their own time, but must schedule an exam time through the UW-Extension office.
Training manuals are available at Portage County UW-Extension, 1462 Strongs Ave., and must be purchased at least five days before the class or individual exam is taken.
