Pro-Life rally will be held Jan. 31
To the Editor:
Happy New Year! Some good things and some not so good things have taken place in the past years. Thanks to the majority of the Stevens Point Common Council the residents in Edgewater Manor can relax in their apartment home. Thanks to all the people in our nation who are praying to stop abortion. As a result many Planned Parenthood abortion clinics are closing. Do prayers work? You bet they do!
Not so good things are happening. The Supreme Court Justices created a law in 1973 to make it legal to kill unborn babies. The Supreme Court created a law in 2015 to make it legal for men to marry men and women to marry women. Does this make any sense? Has the Supreme Court overstepped their authority?
What is happening to our America? Floods, mudslides, wild fires, tornadoes, earthquakes, hurricanes, droughts can you name a few more? These natural disasters are quite frequent. Will we have revival or God’s wrath?
The importance of this letter is to alert the people of Portage County about the Pro-Life Rally and March. It will be held Sunday, Jan. 31. It will be cold so dress warmly. The March will start at 2 p.m. at the County-City Building, 1516 Church St., Stevens Point.
The March will continue to the Lee Dreyfus University Center in the Laird room where the rally will start at 3 p.m. There will be hot chocolate, coffee, juice and cookies. Various informational tables will be available so you will have lots of information to take home with you.
Here is the important event that is going to take place at the rally. Speaker Chelsea Shields, Legislative and Political Action Committee director of Wisconsin Right to Life, will fill us in on what is going on in Wisconsin and in the nation about abortion and the Pro-Life movement.
Want to receive information about the Portage County Chapter of Wisconsin Right to life? Call Kevin at 715-345-0153 or Shelly at 715-347-5288.
The Good News Fellowship Church (now called “Refuge”) bus will take you back to the courthouse parking lot after the rally.
