Standing Rocks to Open for Rare Weekday Event

Even though the Standing Rocks Park downhill ski area is rarely open on weekdays, it will open to the public on Friday, Jan. 22
The reason? There’s no school that day. Students in Stevens Point public and parochial schools have the day off for teacher record-keeping day, according to district calendars.
The ski tows will operate from 11 AM to 4 PM.
The ski hill is also open every Saturday and Sunday from 11 AM to 4 PM through March 13, providing weather is appropriate.
