Plover Woman to Face Lengthy Arrest Record in Court
By Brandi Makuski
A Plover woman with an extensive criminal history will be back in court in late January to answer for a slew of misdemeanor charges she received throughout 2015.
Jordann Politoski, 20, faces four counts of battery, three counts of disorderly conduct, five counts of bail-jumping, one count of resisting or obstructing and one count of possession of a controlled substance. The charges are spread over four pending cases against her.
She was in circuit court this week for a pre-trial conference on some of the charges.
According to court records, Politoski was arrested by Stevens Point police on May 7 after causing a disturbance at Brickhause Tavern in the downtown district shortly after midnight. Politoski allegedly slapped a woman three times after being asked if she was old enough to be in the bar.
Officers cited her for the underage drinking violation and, despite her being belligerent and verbally abusive, released her from custody and “strongly advised” her to stay home for the rest of the night, according to the complaint.
But police were called back to the bar about an hour later, when Politoski returned and created another disturbance, this time slapping a man in the face “four or five times, creating a small cut on his lower lip”, according to the complaint. Officers found her wearing different clothes and walking north away from the bar, but she began to run when she saw police.
After being charged with multiple counts of battery, disorderly conduct and resisting an officer, she was later released on a $5,000 signature bond and referred to the Community Justice Program.
Politoski was also arrested in June for bail-jumping, but was released on a $1,000 signature bond after being charged.
In another incident, Politoski was found intoxicated by Plover police on July 2 after a caller reported hearing a woman scream for help at 6:04 AM in the Plover Pine Village mobile home park. The woman was later identified as Politoski, who was bleeding from her leg and began yelling at officers about not being able to “walk down the street after having a drink or two”, according to the complaint. Officers reported having a difficult time understanding her but noted she was yelling most of the time, disturbing neighbors.
As officers were trying to get more information on how Politoski injured her leg, dispatchers informed police she was currently out on bond and was prohibited from consuming alcohol. Officers found three different kinds of Adderall pills in Politoski’s purse, one of which was not prescribed to her. Politoski claimed she did not know anything about the other pills. Her initial breathalyzer result was .121 percent.
She was later released on a $1,000 signature bond.
In September, Politoski was arrested from a home on Red Oak Dr. and Roosevelt Dr. after a caller reported an assault had taken place. A man who identified himself at Politoski’s boyfriend told police she punched him in the face with a closed fist after a verbal argument in the home. Police did note the man’s lip was swollen and bloody, indicating he had been struck.
When police interviewed Politoski, she confirmed the couple had an argument but said the man struck her first, after which she pushed him away. She told police the man must have hit the wall after she pushed him, causing the injury to his face. Officers found no evidence of injury of Politoski’s face. She was arrested and charged with one count of battery and three counts of misdemeanor bail-jumping.
Politoski returns to court on Jan. 25 for a status conference in Branch III.
