Zannie June Smith, 78, Stevens Point, died Sunday, Jan. 17, 2016.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, at Woodlands Church in Plover.

Visitation will be at the church from noon Thursday until the services.

A memorial will be established in her name for the Faith in
Action Orphanage in Port au Prince, Haiti. Donations may be made
to Don Shire Ministries.

Shuda Funeral Service in Stevens Point and Plover assisted
with arrangements. Condolences may be offered online at www.shudafuneral.com.

Mrs. Smith was born April 17, 1937, in Nelma, Wis., a
daughter of the late Hobert and Ina (Wills) Spencer. She attended Laona
schools.

She was married to Donald G. Smith Oct. 23, 1954, at Bible
Fellowship Church in Madison.

The couple settled in Madison until moving to the Stevens
Point area in 1962, to raise their family.

She was active in Women’s and Children’s Ministries at Bible
Baptist Church, Greater Point Baptist Church and Woodlands Church. She was chairman
and prayer adviser for Christian Women’s Club for many years.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Don; five
children, Cheryl (Timothy) Brady, Robin (Rob Weaver) Smith-Weaver, Tammy (Russ
Hessler) Smith, Glenn (Beth) Smith and Don (Debbie) Smith; one sister, Nancy
(Roger) Dehn; one brother, Marshall (Paula) Spencer; 20 grandchildren; and nine
great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Emily and
Bede.
