POTD: Eagle Scouts Earn Statewide Award

Four Stevens Point Eagle Scouts have been recognized with a commendation from Assemblywoman Katrina Shankland.
Troop 205 members Chris Cuomo, Andrew Hanneman, Bryce Arfstrom and Josh Speers, all SPASH students, each received their Eagle Scout rank on Jan. 10 during a ceremony at Good Shepard Lutheran Church in Plover. Along with their families and other troop members, State Rep. Shankland attended to present the scouts with the awards.
“This is a citation of commendation, a high honor, and I couldn’t imagine anyone more deserving in this community today than these four,” Shankland said. “What a distinct honor to you all, and a distinct honor to your families, your troop leaders, Troop 205.”
The four participating in extensive volunteer work, local service projects and ongoing scout-related study to achieve the rank, which is the highest available in the Boy Scouts.
