Jerome M. Sexton

Jerome Martin “Jerry” Sexton, 58, Plover, formerly of New
London, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016, at St. Joseph’s Residence in New London
following an eight-month battle with melanoma.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday,
Jan. 29, at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London, with the Revs. Robert
Groher and Scott Wolfram officiating. Burial will be at Floral Hill Cemetery in
New London.
Visitation will be at Cline and Hanson Funeral Home in New
London from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, with a 7:30 p.m. devotional service,
and at the church from 9 a.m. Friday until the Mass.

Mr. Sexton was born March 1, 1957, in New London, a son of
the late Dennis “Dave” and Helen “Annette” (Groher) Sexton.
He was married to Lona Steingraber June 26, 1982, in New
London.
He was a business analyst for Sentry Insurance for the past
36 years.
He was an avid hunter and sports enthusiast, coaching his children
and others.
Survivors include his wife, Lona; two children, Miranda
(Bradley) London, Fitchburg, and Cullen (Lauryn) Sexton, Greenville; two sisters,
Kathy Olson, Clintonville, and Mary (Larry) Kamke, New Berlin; and four brothers,
Mike (special friend Maureen Brizzolara) Sexton, Pat Sexton and Jim Sexton, all
of New London, and Mark (Deb) Sexton, Hartland.
He was also preceded in death by one nephew, Kirk Hansen; his
maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Adalia Groher; and his paternal
grandparents, Martin and Anna Sexton.
