POTD: A Thank You for the Stomach

Chef Christian Czerwonka (left) visits with students at Washington Elementary School to showcase some chef skills- and to say “thank you”.
Czerwonka, owner of Father Fats and other local restaurants, is a frequent supporter of Central Rivers Farmshed. Students at the school had recently participated in a local food fundraiser for Farmshed, located at 1220 Briggs Ct., and Czerwonka visited the students to show his gratitude.
Czerwonka talked with students in first through third grades about the skills needed to be a chef, as well as his own educational background and passion for food.
Students got to sample taco lettuce wraps he brought, and also learned about ingredients and presentation.
